You Will Love This Song TABS by ambeR Rubarth

Soooo.... a bunch of people have been asking me for tabs for my songs, some piano, some guitar.  Well I gotta admit I'm not one of those "trained" musicians so didn't know how to do it, but I just figured today I might as well learn.  Oh Google, how I love thee.

Here goes: for the more requested myspace messages song, "You Will Love This Song"

p.s.

p.s. i think it's funny i'm writing a blog telling people to check out things when i haven't even told anyone about the blog yet.  aye.

p.p.s. check out the blog, yo.

good music, good friends

last night was ridiculous.

rebel spirit music benefit show at the canal room.  loved all the musicians.  15 of them.... and a house band.  we all sang on stage together, it was fantastic.  loved it loved it loved it.  felt like a real new york music scene at its peak.  got to sing a beautiful christmas song written by nate campany, he's great.  dan torres sang harmonies with me, gorgeous.

so nice to be home.  i love this city.  just moved into my own room which i haven't had for 2 years now, and i'm thrilled.  even though it's completely empty (yes, bare walls and a wooden floor) minus two suitcases of dirty clothes in one corner and a picture i got from london (banksy) and a desk that was left... i couldn't be more excited.  feels like home.

good music, good friends, what more could we want really.

playing tomorrow at rockwood music hall (nyc) with the paper raincoat, gonna be fun.  8-11pm, we're on around 10ish.  yayyy!

life is good.

snowy

from the syracuse drive, the guy in front of me was going so slow i decided to extend my photography portfolio (yes, while i was driving in the snow.. no mom please don't read this).

4:07am

4:07am sunday night, technically monday... i was an engineer for the first time today!  have my friend from london out and he has amazing songs that haven't been recorded so i took a little crash course from alex on how to record, got the neumann mic out and put down a couple songs.... they sound beautiful, he's a natural.

half way in between, alex and vienna and london alex and i ended up in the living room jamming to some miles davis and john coltrane and i think someone else, that was fun.  oh sweet music.

i should really go to sleep.  early morning session at 10, oy.  it's good to be home.

well, hello!

happy sunday.  i'm newly back in brooklyn, doing some spring cleaning of the mind this fine rainy november day at variety coffee.  delicious chai teas.  some great old timey music.

so i'm actually home a bit these next couple of months (whew!) and happy that i'll have some time to hunker down and get things going... like blogs, website, new merch, lots of writing (yay!!) and oh yeah, some living.  haven't done that in a while.  don't want to just start writing about writing and touring, that'd be lame.

so here's my first start, a new blog.  unfinished aRt... a little green room to hang up thoughts and ideas and quotes and sketches and maybe some songs in the works.  and i'd love to hear your thoughts and stories and reactions too.  and what you're reading.  i'm just newly on this book kick (audio and paperback) and would love to get your book suggestions for the back burner.

oh boy.  exciting stuff.  had a great thanksgiving, with some of my favorite people... got to wake up two days in a row and look across the river at canada.  drove to syracuse yesterday and climbed up in an empty bell tower and looked out over the valley.  aahhhhhhhhhh........

writing a lot these days, reading a lot, living a bit.. loving life.

enjoy this new blog, and i'm looking forward to hearing from you.  thanks!! xox
